Foreword

Horlicks WizKids is South Asia’s largest and most exciting interschool Fiesta and it is coming to 3 major cities in Pakistan.

The schools will nominate their students to participate in 10 different and refreshing competitions being organized in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. These fun-filled city competitions will keep the participants excited and on their feet all day. The event is open to students from the 5th to 12th grades.

Horlicks Wizkids in India is now running for the 7th consecutive year and this year more than 20,000 students from 1500 schools, across 17 cities of India participated. Syed Sultan Ahmed and Naina Sultan, the dynamic duo and architects of Horlicks Wizkids are all set to fly in from India for the competitions in Pakistan. They are rather excited about the scope of Horlicks Wizkids Pakistan and “are looking forward to meeting hundreds of students here and taking Horlicks Pakistan beyond borders, in a burst of colours and energy.”

A host of competitions, events, games and challenges have been planned to encourage creativity, challenge conventions, and apply the knowledge they have gathered. It promises to be an extensive, fun-filled roller coaster ride that will keep the talented entertained and motivated for the final prize – the trip to India and a chance to meet new people, make new friends, and prove their worth.

So, watch out for the Horlicks WizKids when they come to your school between October 11th to 20th 2010. Participate and have fun! Who knows – you might be the next Horlicks WizKid!

DAWN in Education Partnership with Horlicks WizKids

The DAWN in Education Programme is the first of its kind and the only ‘Newspaper in Education’ programme from Pakistan, recognised internationally. Since the main goal of the Programme has been to enhance children’s skill sets beyond the classroom, DAWN in Education believes in teamwork and providing a platform for children to compete where they learn the challenges of competition while showcasing their talents.

This is primarily the case of Horlicks WizKids competition that will host 10 electrifying and unique competitions in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The participants’ skills will be put to test in activities such as Quizzers, Painting, Mehndi Art, Creative Play, Music Melody, WizTeam, English Story Writing, Urdu Story Writing, Little Horlicks Chef, and Antakshari. These activities will then be judged by an elite panel comprising celebrities, industry professionals and corporate leaders. By being a part of this competition, DAWN in Education hopes to promoting and encourage such activities across Pakistan.
